Macclesfield Town have fined every player, the manager and assistant manager involved in the fixture against Wycombe after an injury-time brawl.Chairman Mike Rance said: "Clearly the majority of the participants on both sides were attempting to calm rather than exacerbate the situation.
"But we have concluded the actions of Macclesfield Town players on the pitch could not be condoned."
Both clubs have requested a personal hearing for their misconduct charges.
"After reviewing the evidence available to us we have reached the conclusion that it is difficult to differentiate between the roles played by and the intent of the many players involved,"
he added.
Both clubs have been charged with a breach of FA rule E20 (a)
- a failure to ensure that players and/or officials conducted themselves in an orderly fashion and/or refrained from provocative and/or violent behaviour.
The match,
which Wycombe won 1-0,
was referee James Adcock's debut in a Football League contest.
