Wycombe midfielder Matt Phillips has been named in England's squad for the European Under-19 Championship finals in France. The 19-year-old winger will meet up with the squad next Monday as England's youngsters prepare for a few days training at Warwick University. England will then head to France for their Group A opener with Austria on Sunday July 18. The Young Lions then face fixtures against Holland (July 21) and hosts France (July 24). Wycombe boss Gary Waddock has spoken of his delight after seeing Phillips receive more international recognition. He told the club's official website: "It's brilliant news. For him to go away to the training camp and be picked for the tournament squad is a great achievement, especially considering the players he was competing against. "It's great for him and the club - I'm delighted. I hope he gets the chance to impress."
