John Halls was the unlikely hero for the Shots, grabbing an equaliser 14 minutes from time after Wycombe had looked set for a come-from-behind win, Danny Foster and Kevin Betsy cancelling out Luke Guttridge's early strike.
Waddock said: "It was possibly a fair result, but when we were on top in the second-half we had a few opportunities in the first 10-15 minutes where we could have put the game to bed.
"But they played extremely well in the first half and you saw more of us in the second. We're disappointed, we wanted to win.
"I was really pleased with the way Kevin Betsy went about his work, he put in a great performance so I`m delighted with him.
"We need to be able to make this ground a fortress and make sure we stamp our authority on teams early on in the first-half. We weren't able to do that."
