Wycombe boss Gary Waddock has refused to rule out a move for former loanee Alan Bennett. Waddock insists no approach has yet been made for the defender, who is still under contract at Brentford. The Chairboys need to bolster their defence soon after Adam Hinshelwood was forced to retire from football due to serious knee problems. Waddock told the Bucks Free Press: "Benno was with us on loan last year so there will be speculation, but he's under contract at Brentford and as it stands at the moment no contact has been made." But on-trial centre-back Mark Phillips, who played against Chesham on Tuesday, is still on Waddock's radar. He added: "We were watching him anyway so nothing changes. We've got three centre backs under contract here. I don't want five, so one more at the moment is enough."
