Two goals from Scott Rendell helped Wanderers to the three points but once again it was the performance of Gareth Ainsworth that caught the eye with the veteran midfielder having another eye-catching game.
Waddock was full of praise for Ainsworth, saying: "He's outstanding and a credit to the game and he was everywhere again.
"He has an amazing enthusiasm for the game that shines through and lifts everyone around him. He did well for the penalty and his goal was a terrific piece of skill.
"But the whole team did their bit with two goals goals from Scott Rendell and some good forward play. I was very pleased with the result and the three points and also delighted that we kept a clean sheet as well which is always a boost against a team like Morecambe.
"It was another three points that will help us towards the end of the season. The games are running down and the most important thing is that we keep focused on what we want to do and keep picking up the wins."
