Wycombe V Torquay at Adams Park - Match Preview

Plenty for Ainsworth to ponder

Wycombe will be without Charles Dunne when they welcome Torquay to Adams Park.

The defender was making his first start after serving a three-match ban when he saw red against Burton. And after sitting out the Johnstone's Paint Trophy win over Bristol City, the Blackpool loanee will now serve the final game of his two-match ban.

But Leon Johnson and Jon-Paul Pittman are available again after missing the last two games through injury, while striker Matt McClure sat out the midweek win but is fit for selection.

Steven Craig is also in contention after returning to training following a viral infection, but the game may come slightly too soon for the striker, while fellow forward Dean Morgan will be missing again with a nerve problem in his thigh.

International call-ups and injuries have left Torquay with a real selection crisis.

The round of international fixtures means Alan Knill will be without new loan signing Anthony O'Connor (Republic of Ireland Under-21s), Wales' Under-21 winger Billy Bodin and goalkeeper Conor Thompson (Northern Ireland's Under-19s).

Aaron Downes (knee) and Ben Harding (foot) are both set for a month on the sidelines, Callum Ball has returned to Derby to free up wages, forwards Niall Thompson and Ashley Yeoman are out on loan while defender Kirtys McKenzie is not available.

Goalkeeper Michael Poke could well be in the squad, although he has only just returned to training having not featured since April while Krystian Pearce is expected to feature.
