Bury's winless run stretches to 10 games after being passed into submission by impressive Wycombe.
The Carling Cup semi-finalists were a class above Chris Casper's men who were jeered off at the break.
Wycombe skipper Tommy Mooney was magnificent and fully deserved his first goal in 10 games.
And manager Paul Lambert has a great problem ahead of him as fellow strikers Scott McGleish and substitute Jermaine Easter also joined in the rout.
There was little to lift the gloom for Bury boss Chris Casper. His team was booed off at half and full time though this was a little harsh against an excellent Wycombe team.
Indeed, Wanderers have scored seven without reply against the Shakers this term with Easter netting four times.
Midfielder Nicky Wroe made a reasonable debut for the Lancastrians after signing on loan from Championship side Barnsley.
And with the match lost Casper was able to blood teenager Domaine Rouse for a first-team debut.
But there was little else to encourage him as the Shakers once again find themselves faced by a possible relegation battle.
That seemed improbable after beating Stockport on December 16. Since then though, the Greater Manchester rivals have suffered contrasting fortunes.
Bury have not won and County have risen towards an automatic promotion place.
The home side received a third minute warning when Andy Warrington made a smart save from Chris Palmer.
Andy Bishop, whose goal drought is now four games, forced Jamie Young into a vital save after 11 minutes when Mike Williamson misjudged a Dave Challinor free kick.
And Paul Scott brought another stop from Young following a fine pass by Richie Baker.
But it was Wycombe creating all the best chances. Warrington denied Palmer and McGleish before the inevitable happened.
Bury failed to clear their area and Ulster midfielder Tommy Doherty volleyed his first goal for 32 months.
Five minutes later the Shakers' defence was exposed again. Russell Martin crossed from the right and the unmarked McGleish headed in.
To add to Casper's problems, Chris Brass limped off with a groin strain after 27 minutes, and Baker's first half caution means he now faces a one-match suspension.
Wycombe continued to dominate after the break and captain Tommy Mooney smashed in his first in 10 games in the 65th minute.
Scott and Stefan Oakes were both cautioned for a flare-up on the floor as they tangled for a 50-50 ball.
And the rout was completed when Easter, who scored a hat-trick the last time the teams met, shot home in the 90th minute.
