Two goal-poacher's strikes from Jermaine Easter helped Wycombe post a club record fifth successive victory with a 2-1 win against Hereford at Edgar Street.
Both sides had chances in the early minutes with the first falling to Hereford. A good build-up involving Tim Sills and Alan Connell put a chance on a plate for Stuart Fleetwood, but the Bulls' leading scorer mis-hit his shot which dribbled through to goalkeeper Ricardo Batista.
A minute later, the dangerous Easter forced a fine save from Scott Tynan from 10 yards.
After this, however, it was Wycombe who went on to dominate the half and they took the lead on 32 minutes, although Hereford were again the architects of their own downfall.
Skipper Tamika Mkandawire tried to head the ball back to Tynan but the ball went through the keeper's legs and Easter got the final touch as the ball entered the net.
Hereford continued to struggle as the interval approached and, only fine saves from Tynan prevented Easter and then Will Antwi from extending Wanderers' lead.
However Hereford drew level five minutes into the second period with an excellent strike from Andy Williams. The 20-year-old received a pass from Connell and beat three players before driving home a right-foot shot.
After this, play was much more even for a while before Kevin Betsy should have done better when he lost control of the ball after racing into the area, allowing Tynan to save at his feet.
But this was just a brief respite for Hereford as another fine strike by Easter restored the visitors' lead. The leading scorer received a pass from substitute Ikechi Anya at the near post and swivelled to rifle a shot into the roof of the net.
Shortly afterwards, Betsy should have added a third when he headed a Stephen Gregory cross over from inside the six-yard box.
But it took a flying save from Batista in the closing stages to prevent Sills from heading a Hereford equaliser.
