For the second week running Shrewsbury Town were forced to share the spoils from a goalless draw.
However, had they not found Wycombe goalkeeper Ricardo Batista in such fine form, they would surely have taken all three points from this highly entertaining Gay Meadow encounter.
Batista had already distinguished himself a number of times during the 90 minutes - but in injury time capped a hugely impressive display with a superb fingertip save from Neil Ashton, to earn ten-man Wycombe a point.
The visitors were forced into a rear guard action after central defender Will Antwi was ordered off after receiving his second yellow card early in the second half.
High-flying Wycombe spent the rest of the match on the defensive, but with Batista in such fine form behind a determined defence Shrewsbury were kept at bay.
From the outset Shrews striker Derek Asamoah proved a constant source of trouble for the visitors and Antwi was given a long lecture by referee Hall after hacking down Asamoah in the fifth minute.
In the 25th minute it was Asamoah who forced Batista into his first notable save - and the second followed within seconds when the on loan Fulham goalkeeper beat away Asamoah's follow up.
On the half hour Kevin Betsy responded with Wycombe's first significant chance, his long run taking him past four Shrewsbury defenders but from 10 yards fired narrowly wide.
Within 90 seconds of the restart, Wycombe created what proved their best chance of the game. But Shrewsbury goalkeeper Scott Shearer was able to block Jermaine Easter's close range effort.
Following the dismissal of Antwi, Shrewsbury gained the upper hand and, although Michael Symes, Neil Sorvel and Dave Edwards all went close to a breakthrough, none came closer than Ashton whose injury time 20-yard effort was destined for the top corner, until Batista acrobatically palmed the ball over.
