Martin the man for Gills
Joe Martin netted the only goal of the game to maintain Gillingham's 100 per-cent record at Wycombe's expense.
Martin tucked away the rebound after Myles Weston's 30-yard free-kick struck the post with Wycombe keeper Nikki Bull stranded.
Gillingham were reduced to ten men late on, Tom Flanagan receiving a second yellow, but the visitors held on.
The match began at a frenetic pace, Danny Kedwell heading wide after 10 minutes, and Sam Wood striking just wide for the hosts minutes later.
Weston proved a constant threat, and after 19 minutes he burst past two challenges down the right and struck a powerful effort which Bull parried behind.
Wycombe finished the first-half strongly, Matt Spring forcing a save from Stuart Nelson and Gary Doherty heading just wide.
Gillingham were the better side after the restart, with Chris Whelpdale and Weston threatening after Martin had given the visitors the lead.
Flanagan was red-carded after pulling Richard Logan down, having been booked for a challenge on Wood in the first-half, but Martin Allen's men secured the points.
