Wycombe goalkeeper Nikki Bull was the hero as he kept out Tom Pope's late penalty to earn his side a 1-1 draw against Port Vale at Adams Park.
Scott Donnelly had earlier scored his first goal for the Chairboys since joining on loan from Swansea to cancel out Leon Johnson's own goal early in the second half.
Both goalkeepers were worked early on as Port Vale's Chris Martin denied Kevin Betsy before Doug Loft's effort from Rob Taylor's pull back was superbly tipped over by Bull.
The visitors broke the deadlock just over a minute into the second half when Kris Taylor burst down the left and his dangerous low cross was turned into his own net by Johnson.
Wycombe drew level ten minutes later when Donnelly received the ball in the middle and he weaved his way into the area before passing the ball into the bottom corner.
Vale were awarded a penalty with seven minutes left when Johnson handled Loft's low cross but Pope was denied by the legs of the excellent Bull.
