BWP at the double for table-topping Addicks

Bradley Wright-Phillips hit a brace as Charlton extended their lead at the top of League One with a 2-1 victory at struggling Wycombe.

Stuart Beavon grabbed a consolation goal for the Chairboys but Wright-Phillips' ninth and 10th league goals of the season were enough to secure the points for the Londoners.

Wright-Phillips slotted into an empty net after four minutes after a superb overhead-kick from Yann Kermorgant cannoned back off the post.

The 26-year-old made it 2-0 after 41 minutes, latching on to Danny Hollands' perfectly weighted through-ball and clinically finishing into the far corner.

Wycombe started the second half brighter and Beavon forced Charlton goalkeeper Ben Hamer into a smart save after 53 minutes before bringing his side back into the game 10 minutes later.

Hamer made a fantastic double save from Joel Grant and Matt Bloomfield, but he was powerless to stop Beavon scoring his fourth league goal of the season.

Ben Strevens came closest to equalising for Wycombe but fired wide late on as the Addicks open up a three-point lead at top of the table.
