Wycombe leave Minstermen miserableA bizarre own goal from Stephane Zubar wrapped up a miserable afternoon for York as they were beaten 3-0 by Wycombe. The Chairboys, beaten at Wembley on penalties in their last competitive appearance, struck twice in the first half before Zubar beat his own goalkeeper with a lob from 20 yards out.Last season's beaten Sky Bet League Two play-off finalists took the lead after just seven minutes as Anthony Stewart, making his second Wanderers debut following a spell at Crewe, capitalized on a mistimed York header to poke the ball past Scott Flinders. Then, 21 minutes later, after strong play in the box, new signing Garry Thompson managed to stay on his feet long enough to thread the ball through to Aaron Holloway, whose low shot was fired low into the net.The second half was uneventful up until the hour mark, when Holloway pressured York defender Zubar and his touch back to the goalkeeper was way too hard and ended up lobbing Flinders from outside the box.York threw on Anthony Straker, Eddie Nolan and last season's top scorer Jake Hyde from the bench but to no avail as Wycombe cruised to the joint-highest opening-day victory in their history
