Blackpool strolled to a comfortable 3-0 victory over rock-bottom Wycombe, dominating possession and completely overrunning the demoralised home side.
The Seasiders took the lead from their first real attack. A mistake from Scott Marshall caused the initial danger, but Ian Simpemba and Stuart Nethercott managed to make important blocks, only for the ball to be delivered for a third time allowing Danny Coid to bundle the ball over the line.
Craig Faulconbridge very nearly equalised for Tony Adams' basement side, but his header from Darren Currie's free-kick struck the post and rebounded to safety. A minute later Blackpool put genuine breathing space between themselves and their struggling hosts through top scorer Scott Taylor.
He broke down the left, cut inside two sprawling defenders and finished with aplomb past a stranded debutant keeper Scott Bevan, for his 23rd goal of the season.
The Seasiders' third goal arrived on 67 minutes. A clever free-kick 30 yards from goal resulted in Bevan making a good save by pushing the ball onto the post, but Steve Davis was following up behind and buried the ball beyond the helpless keeper.
A fourth goal looked certain on 76 minutes as Taylor latched onto a Richie Wellens throughball. However, Bevan saved the first effort and, after the Wycombe defence failed to clear, Taylor had a second bite of the cherry, which the keeper pushed onto the post.
