Wycombe's poor run of league form continued as they crashed to a 1-0 home defeat against Yeovil.
The Glovers fully deserved the victory despite taking 84 minutes to score the decisive goal through Bartosz Tarachulski.
The goalless first half produced some quality play, but despite having the line share of the first half possession, it took Yeovil 43 minutes for the first serious assault on the home goal.
A free-kick from the outstanding Gavin Williams from 25 yards warmed the palms of Wycombe goalkeeper Frank Talia, who had bravely soldiered on despite being knocked out in an earlier collision.
Wycombe's moments of the first period were both provided by Ian Stonebridge. The former Plymouth hit man bringing the best out Yeovil's highly regarded keeper Chris Wheel on seven and 45 minutes respectively.
The second half produced more permitted football. Half-time substitute Nathan Tyson caused problems for the visiting defence, whilst on 57 minutes Williams weaved his way into the home penalty area and, just as he was about to pull the trigger, on-loan Millwall defender Tony Craig saved his side with a fantastic last ditch challenge.
The pressure on the home side was growing as the game neared its conclusion on 83 minutes. Williams set up substitute Kevin Gall but his snap shot was well saved by Wycombe's substitute keeper Steve Williams.
The Glovers pressure finally told on 84 minutes with Gall delivering a pin-point cross from the right and substitute Tarachulski stooped to conquer at the near post and guided his header into the corner of the net.
