Title chasing Walsall earned a point at Adams Park with a masterful display of defending.
The visitors did not give Wycombe a sniff, and they went the full 90 minutes without creating a single clear-cut chance.
Walsall probably left slightly aggrieved that they did not win after creating some golden opportunities in the first half.
The Saddlers made a blistering start to the game, and created three decent chances within the first six minutes.
Hector Sam had a free header well saved by Ricardo Batista before he was put through moments later one-on-one by Kevin Harper.
Sam had all the time in the world to pick his spot but shot straight at Batista, with the keeper saving well with his legs.
Then to complete the trio of chances, Harper was picked out well by Michael
Dobson but his free header went high and wide.
After surviving those early scares the home side started to get into the game and kept the ball for long periods without creating much.
Wycombe's first effort came after 24 minutes when Scott McGleish hit a cracking volley from 30 yards that fizzed wide.
Walsall had another glorious chance five minutes later when Martin Butler put Kevin Cooer one-on-one with Ricardo Batista. He looked odds on to score but somehow put his shot wide.
Wycombe started the second half stronger but Walsall defended with great resilience and could not find a way through. A Stefan Oakes free-kick on 56 minutes, which was shot straight at keeper Clayton Ince, was their only chance of note.
Walsall continued to look dangerous going forward and had a decent chance against the run of play on 62 minutes. A hopeful long-ball forward put Martin Butler in on goal but from a narrow angle blasted his effort high and wide.
Despite keeping Walsall camped in their own half for long periods, Wycombe lacked that killer instinct in the last third.
The last real chance of the game fell to Martin Butler, but again keeper Batista did well to smother at his feet with 10 minutes left.
